This session took place at Commonplace Books in Midtown Oklahoma City, and it could not have been a more perfect location for a second baby announcement. If you are a family who loves books, quiet moments together, and meaningful routines, this kind of setting can say so much without ever feeling staged.

For this family, Commonplace is a place they return to again and again. Books shared together have been a tender and sacred part of their story from the beginning. Choosing a location that already holds meaning made the session feel natural and deeply connected to who they are. That is something I always encourage. Your announcement does not need to be big or elaborate. It just needs to be true.

Another important part of this family’s story is that they do not share their child’s face online. That mattered. So we planned the session in a way that allowed them to announce their growing family, share joy with friends and loved ones, and still honor their boundaries. We focused on creative angles, movement, hands holding books, quiet moments, and details that tell the story without revealing more than they are comfortable with.

Of course, we also captured plenty of family photos during this session that are not shared online. Those images are just for them. For their home, their albums, and their memories. That balance is always available.
